Boulder Shotokan Karate, previously called JKA of Boulder, provides traditional Japanese Karate-do instruction and training in Shotokan karate. We have been a part of the YMCA for 44 years and counting! In the course of training, we seek to develop the following attributes:

    Instructor: Mr. Bruce D. Green, 8th-degree black belt, graduate of the well-regarded Japan Karate Association (JKA) Instructor Training Program (administered by the Japan Ministry of Education). He is also a certified instructor, examiner, and judge (A class). Sensei Green is blessed with several other high-ranked black belts as assistant instructors (CJ Herman, 5th dan; Tom Haapala, 3rd dan; Chad Callaghan, 3rd dan).
